Microsoft Rep Got Some Attitude

I decided to reformat my laptop due to a lot of reasons, mainly it has been clogged by malwares (yes it’s my fault, I didn’t install a anti-virus software hehe) and also to clean up the mess in my drive.

Initially, it was smooth sailing and even the last issue I had which was installing the video controller drivers for this laptop was gone. Yeah, I had a hard time installing the video controller drivers because for some reason, it did not automatically search for the available drivers online.

Now here comes the worst part. I lost my product key for the Windows Vista OS. I need to activate this within 30 days cause otherwise, it would not fall short of a pirated OS. With the help of my friend google, I was able to get the Product Key and I could just go ahead and have the OS activated just like that.
Yes, I was not able to activate the OS using the key. I tried activating it online, failed. Tried the toll free number indicated and thought it would be a success, but still a no go.
Well, the bad thing was that this Singaporean Rep from Microsoft told that I need go back to the reseller and ask for the product key and all that. I said, WTF!, it’s been over a year already and I am not sure if they’d even entertain me.
Actually, this article is not just because I am unable to activate the OS, it was more of the bad experience I had with this Singaporean rep.
I am working as a manager for a customer service account so I should know how to treat customers like me RIGHT. Well, this lady did not show any empathy, nothing like that. Her tone was condescending, not showing any signs of willingness to help.
Woah! She could use some brushing up some skills in customer service.
I would have liked to ask for a supervisor or manager but I opted not to. It’s early in the morning here and I guess, I have to start my day right.
Oh well, she’s just someone there.
Now, I need to think of my options. Am I going to buy a new OS?
Argghh, not exactly the best time for it…
