At first, I thought, it was just a joke, but to my dismay, it was not. The PNoy administration is serious in changing it for whatever reason.
Personally, I prefer "Wow Philippines" with the tagline "More than the usual", than this. If they aim to attract foreign tourists to visit our country, the slogan, must have at least a universal touch on it, and interpreting it in English, is definitely one of the best ways to do it.
Have you heard of our neighboring ASEAN countries' slogan?
"Amazing Thailand", "Uniquely Singapore", "Vietnam: The Hidden Charm", "Indonesia - The Ultimate in Diversity" , "Brunei, the Kingdom of Unexpected Treasures", "Cambodia, Home of World Heritage", "Timor Leste-- Discover the World’s Newest Nation"; 'Malaysia: Truly Asia".
What do they have in common?
In addition, "Wow Philippines" have already been associated to our country much like that of "Amazing Thailand" and "Malaysia: Truly Asia".
Why fix if it ain't broken?
